How to Use the Finder

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW TO KEEP YOUR LUGGAGE ON YOUR RADAR.

GETTING STARTED

To better use The Finder, please make sure your IOS device is updated to the latest version. *The Finder can only be used on iOS 14.5 or later version on iPhone and iPad devices. 

Pull the plastic tab to enable battery contact, it should beep [once] indicating power on.

SETTING UP THE FINDER

1) Located “Find My” on your device and open the app so it’s ready to go. Make sure Bluetooth on your device is switched on. 

2) Press The Finder function button [once] to hear a beeping sound. This will indicate that the device is in paring mode. The duration of pairing mode is one minute. Press the function button again to re-enter pairing mode. 

3) Select the “items” tab then tap “Add Item”. 

4) Select “Other supporting Items”5) Make sure The Finder is close to your pairing device. A notification labelled “F2” will appear shortly after connection, select ‘Connect’.

6) Rename The Finder. Select ‘Continue’.

7) Connect The Finder to Apple ID. Select “Continue’. 

8) Select ‘Finish’. The Finder will make a beeping sound twice to signal that it is finished setting up.

LOST ITEM AND BATTERY REPLACEMENT

1) Enable The Finder “Lost Mode’ feature in the ‘Find My’ App.

2) Enter a phone number or email address. You may entered a message that will be shared to the person that finds your item. Select ‘Activate’ to enable ‘Lost Mode’.

3) Please Note: When ‘Lost Mode’ is enabled, ‘Notification When Found’ is automatically enabled. 

4) Please Note: When ‘Lost Mode’ is enabled, The Finder will be locked and cannot be paired to a new device. 

To replace the battery, carefully open The Finder case from its side. Replace The Finder battery with compatible CR2032 batter [positive pole placed upward].

UNWANTED TRACKING DETECTION

If there is an unknown device mixed in your belongings, you will be notified via Apple products, you will be notified on these Apple devices, and such features supports iOS or iPadOS 14.5 and later versions only.

If you are with a friend who is carrying a device, or you’re in an overcrowded environment, as long as the device is close to its owner, a notification will not be triggered.

REMOVE OR RESET THE FINDER

Enable ‘Lost Mode’ is disabled. Select ‘Remove Item’ labelled in red. Select again ‘Remove’ to confirm.

After successfully removing The Finder from device, press The Finder function button four times rapidly. Each press will sound a beep.

Hold on the fifth press until a sound chime occurs. The Finder will reset and is ready to pair to a new device.
